The information we collect about you
We collect personal information when you open an account, when you use the site, and when we are required to confirm who you are. We collect only what we need for the purposes described in this policy.

We also keep records of your contact with us, including live chat transcripts, e-mails to our support team and notes of any complaint you raise.
Why we use your personal information
We use your personal information for a limited set of purposes connected with running your account and meeting the duties placed on a licensed operator.
- To open and run your account, process deposits and withdrawals, credit winnings and provide the games available on the site.
- To verify your age and identity, confirm your address and check the payment methods registered to your account before withdrawals are released.
- To prevent fraud, money laundering and the misuse of accounts, including checks on unusual patterns of play, payment activity and multiple accounts.
- To meet our legal and regulatory duties, including record keeping, responding to lawful requests and applying the safer gambling controls that apply to us.
- To support safer gambling, by applying the limits, time-outs and self-exclusions you set and by identifying signs of harm so we can act on them.
- To provide customer support, answer your questions and look into any complaint you make.
- To send offers and updates about the site, where you have opted in, and to tailor those messages to the way you use your account.
- To keep the site secure and working properly, including testing, troubleshooting and protecting our systems.
Marketing is always your choice
You can opt out of marketing messages at any time in your account settings or by writing to support@casinoslotsshine.co.uk. We will still send service messages about your account, payments and verification, because those are not marketing.
The legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR
Data protection law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your personal information. In plain words, these are the bases we rely on.
| What we use your data for | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Opening your account, processing payments and letting you play | Performance of the contract between you and us, set out in our terms and conditions |
| Age and identity checks, anti-money-laundering checks and record keeping | Compliance with the legal obligations that apply to a licensed gambling operator |
| Fraud prevention, site security, service improvement and internal analysis | Our legitimate interests in running a safe and lawful service, balanced against your rights |
| Marketing e-mails, non-essential cookies and similar messages | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time |
| Acting on signs of gambling harm and applying safer gambling measures | Our legal obligations and, where health information is involved, the substantial public interest |
Where we rely on consent, withdrawing it does not affect anything we did with your data beforehand. Where we rely on a legal obligation, we cannot stop using the data while that obligation applies.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period that the law and our regulatory duties require. That period applies to records of your identity checks, your transactions and your play, and it begins when the account is closed.
Some records are kept for longer than others. Verification documents and anti-money-laundering records are kept for the full retention period set by law. Marketing preferences are kept so that we can show we acted on your choices. Live chat transcripts and support e-mails are kept for a shorter period, unless they relate to a complaint or an open matter.
Where you have self-excluded, we keep the record for at least the length of the exclusion and for the period required afterwards, so that the exclusion cannot be bypassed. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it permanently anonymous.
Your rights, cookies and how to contact us
Under UK data protection law you have the following rights over the personal information we hold about you.
- Access - to be told what we hold and to receive a copy of it.
- Correction - to have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
- Erasure - to have your data deleted, where we are not required to keep it.
- Restriction - to ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is settled.
- Objection - to object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to stop direct marketing at any time.
- Portability - to receive certain data in a commonly used electronic format.
- Withdrawal of consent - for anything we do on the basis of your consent.
To use any of these rights, write to support@casinoslotsshine.co.uk from the e-mail address registered to your account, or speak to us on live chat and we will tell you what to send. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that account data is not released to anyone else. We answer within the time limit set by law and will explain our decision if we cannot do what you ask.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You are welcome to raise the matter with us first so that we have the chance to put it right.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, keep the site secure and understand how the site is used. Non-essential cookies are set only where you agree to them, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site or in your browser. Full details of the cookies we use, what they do and how long they last are set out in our Cookie Policy.
